Gestra Pump On / Off Low & High Alarm Level Switch 24VDC C/W 4-20ma
The level switch NRS 2-50, in conjunction with level electrodes NRG 2.-.. and level transmitter NRGT 26-1, is used as a limit switch and Water Level Controller in steam boilers, hot-water installations (pressurised), and condensate and feedwater tanks. The level switch detects and indicates when the preset MIN or MAX water level is reached and switches the feedwater pump on and off (NRS 2-51).

The level switch is for use with level electrodes NRG 21-.. and NRG 26-21 and the level transmitter NRGT 26-1.

The level switch NRS 2-50 and NRS 2-51 use the level-dependent voltage signals emitted by the level electrodes NRG 2..-.. or the level-dependent current signal emitted by the level transmitter NRGT 26-1.

The level switch NRS 2-50 / NRS 2-51 adjusts the input signal between 0 and 100 % of the boiler measuring range, and switch points for MIN / MAX water level are correspondingly adjusted within this measuring range.

The seven-segment LED display indicates the actual value during standard operation. When the MIN or Max water levels are triggered, the corresponding contact is switched over after the delay due to de-energizing, illuminating the MIN/MAX LED.

The level switch NRS 2-51 also works as an on-off water level controller (fill or discharge control, switch-selectable). If the lower or upper switchpoint for water level control occurs, the controller output switches over according to the preset function and, consequently, switches the feedwater pump on or off.

When the level switch activates the Feedwater Pump, this illuminates the amber LED.

The seven-segment LED Display will indicate any faults or malfunctions in the level electrode, level transmitter, electrical connector or settings. A MIN/MAX alarm activates in the event of a malfunction.

If level switches NRS 2-50 / NRS 2-51 encounter errors, a MIN/MAX alarm activates and restarts the system.

Level Switch parameters are adjustable, and its rotary button allows the simulation of a MIN/MAX alarm.

Equipment is available for external level indication and features an actual value output of 4-20mA.
