The Oil & Fuel Spaghetti Marine Booms are specifically manufactured for dealing with spillages of oil or diesel on water and is usually deployed as the first line of defence when any liquid lighter than water has been spilt in a flowing water environment. The marine boom comes in 3m lengths with a diameter of 12cm and is designed to better deal with thicker petroleum based spills and is capable of operating on faster moving water.

The oil booms have a length of rope running inside and along the length of them, not only to give extra strength but to prevent the booms from becoming over-stretched. Metal rings attached to the ends of the booms allow them to be joined together to create the desired overall length.

Whilst the Marine Booms themselves have a large absorbent capacity they are usually used in conjunction with other absorbent materials such as oil spill pads or mechanical water skimmers and vacuums.
