Kolor Kut Water Finding Paste 3oz Tube
Directions for Use
Place a thin film of Kolor Kut Water Finding Paste on your clean Dipping Tape (or other detection utensil) up to approximately where the water level is expected to appear.
Lower the Dipping Tape into the tank until the bottom is reached. The level will appear by a positive contrast of colours (Changing from Golden Brown to Red).
The colour change will be instantaneous in Gasoline, Diesel, Kerosene and Gas Oils. Heavy Oils will require a few seconds.

- For testing for the presence of water at the bottom of fuel storage tanks.
- Applied to Dipping Tape (a rod or length of string with bottom weight) the Golden Brown paste changes colour to brilliant red where it comes into contact with water giving you a visual indication as to the depth of the water present.
Kolor Kut is the ideal way to test for the presence of water at the bottom of fuel storage tanks. It is also able to detect Water in hydrocarbons, sulphuric acid, nitric acid, hydrochloric acid, ammonia, soap solutions, salt and other chloride solutions.
To obtain the best results we recommend using Dipping Tape (please see related items) but a rod or string could also be used.
When coming into contact with water the golden brown paste changes colour to brilliant red, giving you a visual indication as to the water content present in the petroleum.
The water can then be pumped out, and the test repeated until there is insufficient water to pump
