Dirt & Air Seperators
New Dirtmag IQ is the smart choice when it comes to efficient dirt and air seperation from your heating or cooling system - with no need for isolation when servicing. Installing Dirtmag IQ helps reduce energy consumption costs as well as system wear and tear to preserve and prolong the life of pumps and boilers.
New Dirtmag IQ helps reduce energy consumption and reduce system wear and tear to preserve and prolong the life of pumps and boilers
Modern heating systems contain many small valves and seats that rely on a clean system to work efficiently. In heating and cooling systems the water circulating will always contain debris which enters the pipe work during installation, from degradation of the radiators or through the water introduced into the system.
If left within the system this debris can cause erosion to bends and fittings and damage to pumps and control vales.
New Dirtmag IQ is the smart way remove debris particles down to 5 microns in size reducing erosion and damage to the system.
The DirtmagIQTM dirt separator chamber is manufactured from glass fibre reinforced polyamide 66 with a high density polyethylene internal filter element and external magnet.
The magnet is positioned around the body below the flow line for improved collection of ferrous particles. The conventional method is to position the magnet inside the collection chamber but the DirtmagIQTM has the magnet positioned around it, helping to maintain a low pressure loss.
The union joint between the brass body and separator body makes the DirtmagIQTM suitable for installation in horizontal, vertical or inclined pipes.
- Supplied with compression ends complying with BS EN 1252-2 for use with R250 (half hard) copper tube.
- Supplied hose union ball blow down valve and manual air vent.
Dirt separators are easy to install and should preferably be installed in the return circuit upstream of the boiler.
This enables debris already present in the pipework to be intercept before it reaches the boiler, particularly during system flushing.
Dirt separators should always be installed as shown with the blowndown valve beneath the collection chamber.
DirtmagIQTM dirt seperator are uni-directional and must be installed with the flow direction as indicated by the arrow on the body.
The union joint between the body and the collection chamber allows the DirtmagIQTM to be installed in horizontal, vertical or inclined pipework thus eliminating the need to stock both horizontal and vertical models.
HOW IT WORKS
Dirtmag IQ works by separating trapped particles down to 0.05 microns in size using unique DirtSep and Magbelt technology.
Modern heating and chiller systems contain many small valves and seats that rely on a clean system to work efficiently. If dirt particles enter a system they can cause erosion and damage to the boiler, circulating pump, control valves as well is pipe joints.
Debris may enter the system during installation, as a result of radiator corrosion or via water introduced into a system. DirtMag IQ is the smart way to remove magnetic, non magnetic dirt particles down to 0.05 microns in size and air.
The smart choice for dirt and air separation new Dirtmag IQ help get rid of unwanted:
High quality neodymium magnets held externally within the Magbelt and positioned around the area of least pressure efficiently capture magnetic particles. Removal of these particles requires no isolation as the external Magbelt is easily removed; fast and efficient cleansing is through a unique rotational 3/4" full bore brass drain off valve.
NON MAGNETIC PARTICLES
The unique and smart design of the DirtSep maximizes dirt particle separation.
DirtMag IQ features a built in manual air valve that ensures any air, a cause of system erosion which may be trapped within the DirtMag IQ body can be easily vented from IQ.
