To ensure correct boiler-water analysis, accurate sampling and perfectly operating analysis equipment are required. Direct sampling of hot boiler-water from lines under pressure always involves the risk of the sample not revealing the true salt content. Due to the flashing of the steam in the line or sample tank, the boiler-water sample will have a higher conductivity than the actual boiler-water, falsifying the analysis.
